I am Maya Okonkwo, a product designer and brand strategist based in London. I help founders and product teams turn a tangle of features into something a person can actually understand and enjoy using.

I started in editorial design, setting type for a small magazine where every millimetre was argued over. That training never left me. Whether I am drawing a checkout flow or a logo, I am still chasing the same thing: the version with nothing left to remove.

Today I work independently with a small, repeat roster of clients across fintech, wellness, and culture. I run projects end to end, from research and strategy through to the pixels and the production files, and I stay close after launch because the interesting problems usually show up in week six, not week one.

When I am not at the desk you will find me letterpress printing, over-ordering at the farmers market, or trying to convince someone that a spreadsheet can be beautiful.
